The WikiProject on Portals is a project to better organize information in articles related to Portals. If you would like to help, please inquire on the talk page and see the to-do list there. At present, there are 129 featured portals, of a total of 577 portals on Wikipedia.

Scope
This WikiProject has been created in order to better organise portals and related templates, so as to allow better integration and co-ordination between portal topic areas and ensure any particular Portal does not become messy, forgotten or unnoticed.

An archived method for proposing portals can be found at Wikipedia:Portal/Proposals.
Currently, there is no process for the proposal and approval of new portals. If you want to create a new portal, see Portal and participate in the discussions there.
You may also talk about your idea for a new portal here. We'll be happy to review your idea and help out where we can.

- List all portals and related sub pages in the portal space
- Discuss and settle upon ways of linking portals of related topics
- Discuss already created portals and determine their usability, readability, and worth.
- Discuss, create and harmonise templates and portal boxes.

- Help critique and improve featured portal candidates.
- Help WikiProject — Portal dynamics coordination and integration.
