Iron (Ossetic: ????, Iron or ???? æ????, Iron ævzag) is one of the two main dialects of the Ossetic language.[1] The majority of the Ossetians speak Iron, notably in the East, South and Central parts of North Ossetia-Alania, while in the West the Digor dialect is much more prevalent. This dominance can be shown in the fact that written Ossetic is almost exclusively in the Iron dialect.[1]
