Franchel Ibara (born July 27, 1989 in Brazzaville) is a footballer from Congo who played for Étoile du Congo before moving to FC Sochaux. He scored a goal from a penalty in the 59th minute against Austria in the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada on the 2nd of July.
Franchel's brother Guillaume plays in the Belgian provincial football league for Entente Blegnytoise.
International career
Ibara received first cap for the full Congo national football team in a qualifying match for the 2010 FIFA World Cup against Chad on 22 June 2008, and he scored his first goal in the match.[1]
He also appeared at the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada.[1]
